3. How we share information
We do not sell personal information. We share information only as described below:
- Service providers and carriers — companies that help us operate, such as telecommunications carriers, messaging and 911 providers, hosting, payment processing, customer support and email providers. They may use information only to perform services for us.
- Completing your communications — when you place a call or send a message or fax, the necessary routing information is shared with the carriers involved.

The sharing described in this section never includes text messaging opt-in data or consent, which is handled as described in Section 5.
4. Customer Proprietary Network Information (CPNI)
As a provider of interconnected VoIP services, PointVoIP protects Customer Proprietary Network Information as required by federal law. CPNI includes information such as the services you subscribe to, how you use them, and call detail records. We use CPNI to provide and bill for your services and as otherwise permitted by law. We do not disclose CPNI to third parties for their marketing purposes, and we verify the identity of anyone requesting CPNI before releasing it.
